Ummm...can I ask why you felt the need to title this 'too hot to handle'? Because I've had Gmail since the start of the year and I've got 100 invites left to give out...so they aint THAT hot......

When I posted this topic on April 8, 2005, it was really hot. But, today I think there shouldn't be anyone left. So, I update my post and find another request for Gmail. I've send him the invitation. If anyone left, still can request through mail.

I'm really confuzzled. I got my Gmail account by enetring my cell phone # on the registration page. They just text you a confirmation and you have an account. I didn't need an invite or anything. What is the big deal with the invites?

There is no option for sign up at G-Mail. Only an existing user can invite any other person.

But I was not existing user, and I just signed up with the method I described above. You can see on the link that you don't have to be an existing member. That's why I don't understand the invite stuff.

Okay, here is the deal. The mobil/cell phone thing is ONLY for" U.S." cell phone. You enter your phone# and they text you your code. You don't need to be member or need an invite from any other source.
